Dr. Cindy Daugherty and Dr. Lara Sullivan are both mothers. In fact, Dr. Daugherty has three children and Dr. Sullivan has four. The health and safety of their own children is of primary importance to both doctors, and they know that is your main concern, too. They both understand how difficult it is when one of your children is sick or hurt, and he or she needs medical care after the doctor’s office is closed. As doctors and as parents, they realize that some problems shouldn’t be left overnight.
Cindy Daugherty, M.D.
Cindy Daugherty, M.D. received a B.A. from Northwestern University and her M.D. from The University of Kansas School of Medicine. She completed a residency in Pediatrics at Children’s Mercy Hospital in 1996. She is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She has ten years of experience in pediatric urgent care. She is married with three children, ages 6, 8, and 10 years. The happy family lives with their dog, Sammy, a Cardigan Welsh Corgi.
Lara Sullivan, M.D
Lara Sullivan, M.D. grew up in the Kansas City area and received her B.A. from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. She went on to receive her M.D. at The University of Kansas School of Medicine and completed her pediatric residency at Children’s Mercy Hospital. She has been an urgent care physician at Children’s Mercy South for the last five years. Lara is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She is married with four children, ages 18 months, 6,9, and 12 and spends most of her time, when not at work, being a chauffeur!
Both doctors are lifelong residents of Kansas City and childhood friends. They have very similar styles of practicing medicine.
